The Story
The Myanmar word for world.
That is what the house is called, in its mother tongue. Roots in Myanmar, a current home in London, Buddhist heritage and old world values threaded together with fresh contemporary aesthetics. It started as a movement, off the back of activists and changemakers fighting for something new, and that spirit of resistance still shows in how the work is made and how customers are spoken to, kindness first and foremost.
The line runs from the debut releases through an urban chapter, Nolita and Ludlow, and on into the deities. Nagar Min is half dragon, half human, all zeal and temper. Balu is ogre-like, built on strength and guile. Galone is part bird, part human, carrying valor and pride. Each represents the light and shadow sides innate to all.
