An afternoon that deserved to last forever.

Le Marais, summer 2025. Heat coming off the cobblestones, an ice cream shop, someone worth staying for. Passion fruit sorbet, bright and electric and cold against the summer air. Then dark chocolate, rich and almost bittersweet.

Two opposites, held in perfect tension. Rose, labdanum and honey work between them, while sandalwood, oakmoss and civet run underneath, older than the afternoon they keep.

L'Atelier Möbius has been an independent house in Shanghai since 2021, founded by Lorenzo Lou, who trained in the United States and came back with more than technique, and with a point of view. The name is borrowed from mathematics: a surface finite in material, infinite in possibility, and a fitting figure for the work that carries it.

From the start, creative integrity and research have come before commercial consideration, and Möbius is among the rare independent houses that develop their own raw materials, on a single principle: for every creation, find or make the finest ingredient the vision demands. Lou builds from small details and overlooked moments, and makes a bottle the way a poem gets made, with molecules standing where the words would be, waiting to be opened and read.
