Kismet Olfactive, a New York City-based fragrance studio, was founded by bohemian-perfumer Shabnam Tavakol.

Drawing inspiration from her background as the daughter of Iranian immigrants and the concept of “kismet” (fate) from the Persian “qismat,” Shabnam translates life’s serendipitous moments into wearable scents.
