twentysecondofmay was founded in Stuttgart by Luisa Grassl and Morgan Fassbender, built around a single conviction: that scent is one of memory's most precise instruments. The independent niche house treats each fragrance less as a product than as an act of preservation, a way of holding a moment in place before it dissolves into recollection. That founding premise, more archival than commercial, still shapes everything the house releases.

The collection draws on collaborators spanning Grasse, Barcelona, and Berlin: Christian Carbonnel composed Bee's Home and Frosted Flame, Alice Le Berre of Robertet shaped Sunbeds & Daydreams, and Roots of Kente marks perfumer Joschka Klee's debut niche release. Across the line, fragrance functions less as adornment than as a kind of time travel, pulling something half-forgotten back into the present and holding it there, favoring translation over trend.
