Teddy The Perfumer is the work of Teddy and Helene Ton, who joined forces after Helene found out Teddy had been making fragrances in secret, tried them, and said Teddy had something special. Teddy is self-taught and noticed things early that others did not seem to. The smell of rain in the air long before the first drop fell. The tiniest bit of mold nobody else seemed to notice.

Independence is the point, and it is creative independence. No investor and no large fragrance house has a say in what gets made. Inspiration comes from remembered smells, from fragrances Teddy always wished existed but could not find, or simply from an idea that seems fun. The teddybear on the bottles is an inkblot by Hunter Christian, open to interpretation exactly as the fragrances are.
