The Story
Flames that move with no breeze to move them.
A mansion deep in mist-shrouded woods, where darkness claims the halls each night and the wicks catch by themselves. No mortal hand goes near them. The flames sway with nothing to sway them, and the shadows they throw whisper of forgotten secrets and of souls still walking the corridors, looking for an end to it.
Powdery linen and smoky incense come off it first, dry as old fabric in a cold room. Then the wax itself, thick and warm, with dark amber around it and violet petals set behind as a muted floral veil. Moss and aged vanilla settle the end, velvety and shadowed. The vanilla is old enough to read as atmosphere rather than sweetness. Magical and intimate, rather than heavy.
