The Story
Wisdom, in Esperanto.

Questions with no answers, and a duality that would not resolve. That was the state of things before. Then came seeking, and out of the seeking came experiences and ideas, and an acceptance of difference that chalked up both surfaces of the blank slate at once.

The name is Esperanto and it means wisdom, a rare and beautiful language to be defined by. A search for fresh understanding, unmoved by influence or appearance, running on experience and a rich inner logic.

Cumin, green hazelnut and coriander keep it dry and a little savoury, more nut than spice. White amber, freesia and palo santo lift it while papyrus stays dry underfoot, and white musks, crystal moss and tonka bean settle what is left.

The Brand

Stereotype's first collection is four releases dedicated to people, alike and incomparable. They sit in one territory, musky and woody and ambery and spiced, and every one of them speaks with a voice of its own. All four are made in France, with a different hand on every one of them. One language, many accents, and four separate ways of speaking it.

The name comes apart into one reading and no more. Stereo, meaning multi-dimensional, and type, meaning the person, and it declines to finish the sentence. What it makes turns the box inside out and looks past the rote perspective for the strange and unusual. Daily life dulls the senses. This is built to work against that, and life's beautiful oddities get taken as they come rather than tidied away.
