The Story
Blood on the scalpel.

Made by Dor Olfactory for Göksu Kunak's exhibition REMAINS at Ebensperger, Berlin, this dried blood accord functions as olfactory scenography. Developed as a smell-scape for the closing performance, and designed to keep existing once removed from the gallery.

Across the two-month exhibition, bodybuilders, grapplers, a pole dancer, and a suspended performer generated the show's paintings through sustained physical strain: pigment transferred through contact, motion traced through repetition, surfaces marked by gravity and exhaustion.

The scent follows that same logic. The material residue immaterial practice leaves behind. It's deliberately unpleasant: metallic, animalic, leathery, faintly rubbery, the impression of dried blood on medical instruments.

Only 30 bottles exist, each hand-splashed with blue paint referencing the paintings and drawings generated through performance, so no two are alike.

Please Note: Each bottle is hand-splashed with paint, so the paint may smear in the package or lightly stain skin. That's the mark of the handmade process.

The Perfumer
The House

Dor Olfactory is a London-based perfume studio founded by perfumer Alina Miron, built around a Romanian word that has no direct English translation: dor — an intensely complex feeling of longing, of missing something or someone, a yearning that can be directed at the past, the present, or something not yet experienced. That emotional depth is the studio's foundation.

Miron shapes the brand together with a collective of designers, architects, and researchers who share a curiosity about the senses. The work moves across perfume, art installations, exhibitions, and multidisciplinary collaborations — all rooted in the same principle: that scent can be a material trace of imagination and lived experience. Every piece is made to move through all the senses at once — beautiful to touch, to see, and to smell.

Everything is produced in the London studio in small quantities, using high concentrations of natural materials and a commitment to slow perfumery. The guiding mantra is straightforward: get nosey.
