Chera People takes its name from the Chera Dynasty, the ancient rulers of Kerala, the southern Indian state known as God's Own Country. Founded by brothers Ranju Rajumohan and Akash Sandhyamohan, the project began as a shared passion for perfume that grew into something larger: a way to hold onto the folklore, rituals, myths, and cultural memory of their homeland before they could fade.
Each fragrance unfolds as an immersive journey into memory, place, and imagination, weaving perfumery together with narrative. Working in small batches with a deliberate focus on craftsmanship and artistic expression, Chera People blends carefully chosen natural materials with deeply rooted stories, so each scent is shaped as much by tradition as by modern artistry. The result is less a product line than a living archive, a canvas where Kerala's past continues to unfold through fragrance.
