The Story
The garden comes indoors when the light changes.

The landscape at its most awake, before the day has claimed it. Sage leaves and wild mint cut it green and hold it cold, with upcycled cedarwood running dry against them. Lavender blunts that. Lime leaf and lemon sfuma sharpen it again, and elemi carries a resinous thread through the citrus.

Cultivated earth and cool air, for interiors that begin deliberately. Anchorage. Botanics, a return to origins. Developed with dsm-firmenich, and built material by material on what olfactory toxicology says rather than on what a label says.

The Notes

The Brand

Bougie Poochie makes hand-poured candles in Los Angeles. Priscilla Camacho spent years inside the high-end candle industry, at Byredo, Boy Smells and Nopalera, and came away with a paradox: the most prestigious home fragrances carried compounds the animals beside them struggle to process. Every release is reviewed ingredient by ingredient against the Dog Standard, which restricts intentionally added phthalates and the essential oils commonly associated with pet sensitivities, and holds fragrance materials inside IFRA's candle guidelines.

The house declines the shortcut of calling itself all-natural. A concentrated essential oil can be the wrong thing to burn near an animal and an isolated synthetic the right one, so each material is judged by how it is used and at what concentration. Lapo, Camacho's greyhound, shaped every formulation, and through Lapo the house traces a Latin inheritance: the thousand-year bond between the peoples of Spain and Mexico and their dogs.
