The Story

Thick, realistic honey lifted at the top by carrot and chrysanthemum tincture so it feels herbal, slightly woody, and a bit tea-like instead of pure syrup.

Manuka adds a wild, floral edge that makes the honey feel drier and more complex—closer to comb and propolis than candy—while the heart folds in osmanthus and the soft “Holland lop fluff” accord, giving a sense of warm fur and quiet animal warmth. As it settles, hay tincture, beeswax, and propolis deepen the sweetness into something musty-woody and barn-adjacent in a comforting way, like stacked hay, antique wood, and a well-loved rabbit nest rather than a clean, perfumey amber.

If you enjoy animalic honey, herbal tea facets, and hay, this feels like a cozy, slightly feral honey you reach for on cool days, reading nights, or any moment you want to smell like a sun-warmed hive and a very spoiled bunny at the same time.

Top: Carrot, Chrysanthemum Tincture, Manuka
Middle: Holland Lop Fluff, Honey, Osmanthus
Base: Hay Tincture, Propolis, Beeswax

The Brand

d.grayi is an artisan fragrance house from the United States, created by perfumer James “Miju” Nguyen and offered through LV1 Studio.

Drawing on Vietnamese and Korean roots, the brand crafts narrative-driven perfumes that blend traditional materials—like jasmine rice, pandan, pho spices, and Vietnamese oud—with contemporary perfume techniques to form vivid “olfactive stories.”

Nguyen’s journey into perfumery began after a vivid dream of a complex, never-before-smelled scent, which he set out to recreate, shaping a collection that now spans dozens of experimental fragrances.
