The Story
A sun-warmed orchard holds its breath in the last stillness before the heat of the day takes over.
There is a particular kind of morning that belongs only to summer — unhurried, luminous, already faintly sweet. This is that morning made wearable. It begins in the green: the snap of fig and pistachio leaves, something almost herbal, the kind of freshness that comes from brushing against a living branch. Slowly, the warmth rises. Pistachios and hazelnuts surface with the rounded richness of things grown slowly under a generous sun — earthy, a little creamy, threaded with the faint sweetness of ice cream half-remembered. Cedarwood and vetiver anchor it all in dry earth and shadow, while a soft veil of benzoin keeps the whole thing close and gently golden. It is unhurried, unpretentious, and surprisingly complex — the smell of a season at its most generous.
