The Story
A medieval village wakes inside a painting, its secret garden full of blooms gathered from every corner of the world.
It begins the way an old barbershop smells on a bright morning — bergamot and grapefruit snapping clean and sharp, mandarin and elemi adding a resinous, sunlit lift, herbs like rosemary and lavender threading through. It's wild and polished at once, the feeling of a fresh shave. Then the garden opens.
White rose unfurls at the center, plush and velvety, almost like dessert — innocent and indulgent together, with marigold, ylang ylang, and honeysuckle crowding in around it. Something powdery and faintly green lingers just beneath, but the rose holds court. Slowly the woods pull up a chair. Cedar, patchouli, and damp oakmoss settle in, warmed by a whisper of oud and the soft animal hum of hyraceum and ambergris.
A last breath of linden and immortelle drifts back toward that old barbershop calm — vintage, comforting, and quietly alive.
