The Story
Long nights and short weekends at the border of childhood and adulthood.
On weekends a group of friends hung out in the furnished basement of one friend's parents, the walls clad in the 1970s cedar panelling everyone else had ripped out by now. They loved leaning against its warmth, singing while that friend played the guitar. Figuring life out together and having fun doing it. They were all going to different colleges in the fall, and a sadness simmered just under the surface of their excitement for what was to come.
Dark cherry and iris sit with orris butter. Vetiver comes alongside, and lamb's wool with ground sesame.
They were young. They had been told these would be the best years of their lives, and they looked forward to the adventures college would bring. But of course, they already knew everything.
