The Story
To sever the cable is heresy.

The machines are old hunks of metal and plastic, bandaged with scrap. Their basic functioning is akin to magic, and deserves worship. The religion around them is held together by a deep desire for answers and an aversion to the ones in the reality all around it. At night its clergy prowl the cobblestone streets, waving incense and dragging heavy cables behind them. The cables connect them to the divine.

Absinthe and violet absolute come in a rush with frankincense. A blend of rose absolutes is less jammy and bright than rose can be, and the resins and mosses pull the focus to its round fullness. Wool absolute is in the blend, taken from sheep's wool without harm to the sheep. The rose withers into rich patchouli and the feeling of old electronics.

The Notes
The Perfumer
Hayden Grossman
The House

Hayden Grossman formulates every fragrance in the line, illustrates it, designs it and labels it, working out of a studio in an Oregon apartment. The route in was visual art and illustration. Each batch is mixed, bottled, labeled and assembled by hand, and the operation is exactly as small as that sounds. The illustration on the bottle and the liquid inside it are the same person's work.

Releases come with writing of their own. The strength is decided per release rather than set to a house standard. Limited editions come in small batches. The full ingredient list is published, down to the trade names of the synthetics, and a material that is not vegan is declared on the page it belongs to.
