The Story
No bird rules the heights with the falcon's calm authority. He carries a modern rose within him, softened by fruit and lifted by precision — controlled, clear, certain of where he glides.

The first impression cuts bright: Italian and blood orange meet red mandarin in a sweet, tart flash, while black pepper sharpens the edge and blackcurrant deepens it toward something darker. It is the taut instant before flight. Beneath that lies a rose in full bloom — Bulgarian and Italian red rose, lush and vivid without ever turning heavy, carried by jasmine from Grasse and red champaca like warm undercurrents. Blood orange lingers as a secret companion, its brightness threaded through the roses. Underneath, Madagascan patchouli and Javanese vetiver settle into an earthy hold, Bengali nagarmotha adds a dark, woody undertone, and Madagascan vanilla closes it all with a soft sweetness — a foundation that steadies without ever pressing down. Sovereign in the altitude. Elegant in the dive.

The House

Frederic Gieselbach came to niche fragrances as a collector and now makes them by hand in Germany as Nebiru Parfvms, filling and closing every bottle. Gieselbach's father loved drugstore fragrances and followed the son deeper in, and without words the two shared something essential. Then came the sudden loss of the father. Gieselbach asked how to get closer, and the answer became the house's name: Nebiru, in Babylonian mythology the threshold between worlds, the point of connection.

Nebiru releases are built from raw materials Gieselbach finds. The eaglewood comes from South East Asia; essences come from jungle islands, other materials from the Arab and Asian regions. Gieselbach buys roots, resins and woods, never ready-made blends. The releases have edges and depth, and none of them is smooth. Each small batch is mixed by hand and filtered, then brought to maturity.
