The Story
Three ouds, and a rose oil from the collection of Sultan Qaboos.
It is sweet, though not in the usual way, and pink pepper cuts through the sweetness almost at once. Taif rose stands out above everything else, and honey, orris and violet turn it powdery.
Under the rose sit three ouds: Cambodian oud, Oud Ayoub from Yaaseen, an extremely precious grade, and Oud Rouh Al Ward, classed in the rose family, an oud-and-rose oil out of the personal collection of Sultan Qaboos. The oud stays calm under all of it.
