A love letter to a northern Michigan upbringing and the childlike wonder still felt in its natural beauty: climbing the Sleeping Bear Dunes, the peaceful waves of the big lakes, cooling pine forests, rocky beaches at Marquette. There is nowhere else like it.

A hike through the pines to the dunes to the beach, IPA in hand, terpenic hops first, with plenty of rock hunting along the way. The breeze rushes between the trees and out across the lake water, dune grass underfoot. The day ends at a campfire and the smoke mixes into the breeze.

Summers working doubles through tourist season, then riding bikes at midnight to jump in the lake. Returning as an adult to realize what was taken for granted, and the privilege of holding a deep reverence for the land that did the raising.

A self-taught perfumer since 2019, Daley brings an insatiable curiosity and an imagination that moves between techno-dystopian anime and fairy-tale illustration, treating scent as a vehicle for something closer to magical realism than conventional perfumery.
