The Story
A rose turned darker, pulled into humid wood and resin that years of stillness have only deepened.
This is rose and oud as the materials themselves, set down without disguise. The flower arrives Bulgarian and full — oil and absolute together — its petals shaded by jasmine and a bright lift of pink pepper. Then the wood takes the lead. Agarwood from Melaka, distilled in Johor in 2018 and rested more than eight years, brings a damp, living warmth that wraps the rose rather than hiding it.
Textured and faintly animal, it feels grown rather than built — a darker rose for darker hours, honest about where it came from and unhurried in how it unfolds.
A tribute to two materials too often softened or imitated, here met head on and kept whole.
